Jeffrey Lai, Chief Instructor/Operator
Jeffrey Lai is a 2nd degree blackbelt in a style called “Youn Wha Ryu” with 20+ years of experience in the martial arts, including Taekwondo, Karate, Jujitsu, Kobudo, Kendo, Muay Thai, & Dutch Kickboxing. He started training in martial arts at the age of 6 and has been teaching in the DFW area since 2021.
Jeff has two reasons he has chosen his profession as a martial arts instructor. First, he has a personal mission to raise a generation of young people with values that will uphold the future. Secondly, he has a desire to honor his own instructors by passing on what he has learned from them.
Jeffrey was born in Plano and attended high school in FISD from his sophomore year onwards. He attended the University of Texas at Dallas and obtained a B.S. in Healthcare Studies with a Minor in Exercise Science. Jeffrey is married to Kaysa and has two cats (Cheeto and Cali). In his free time, Jeffrey loves to train for and participate in powerlifting and strongman competitions.

Our Founder, Grandmaster Buddy Hudson
Grandmaster Buddy Hudson is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Professional Black Belt Association. He holds a 9th degree black belt in American Karate and American Taekwondo and is an international instructor and champion in the martial arts.
Grandmaster Hudson has been inducted into the International Karate Hall of Fame and Masters Hall of Fame in honor of his significant contributions and achievements in martial arts. He previously served as President of both the United Taekwondo Alliance and the United States Taekwondo Federation.
With over 35 years of experience, Grandmaster Hudson is widely recognized as an influential mentor, leader, and pioneer in the martial arts community. His depth of knowledge and commitment to excellence has helped progress multiple martial art forms and organizations during his longstanding career.
Owners, The Lad Family - (Raj, Preya, Akira, Kay, Elina)
The Lad family has lived in the North Dallas area for over 25 years, and are excited about the area’s growth and development. They have 3 kids, and have been active participants in the local martial arts community for the last 5 years. They have a passion for athletics, health and wellness, and understand how the teachings at the Professional Black Belt Academy are vital for kids and adults of all ages. They are committed to providing a world-class Martial Arts experience, the best after school program in Little Elm, and a place where local families can gather for a fun filled experience. We encourage everyone to reach out and get to know them and to learn more about PBBA.

They utilize a specific proven business model that is designed to increase the bottom line as well as turning out top quality martial arts students, black belts and certified instructors.
Led by Grand Master Buddy Hudson, a 9th degree black belt in Taekwondo and American Karate. Master Hudson is recognized worldwide as one of the top martial arts trainers.
