My son, Jax, began going to class at SWAT under Mrs. G (Katie Gentry) when he was 6 years old. Jax had always been an emotional kiddo, and he had a lot of trouble with expending energy. Over the next 3 years we would see him blossom in confidence, control of his emotions, and become so outgoing. Although we did move away due to my job Jax has retained those skills and still has fond memories of Mrs. G and SWAT.

My boys have taken Taekwondo at Professional Black Belt Academy for the last 5 years. Over the past 2 years we have gotten to know Mrs. Gentry through tournaments and her guest instructing at the Prosper Academy. Her love for taekwondo and every student she encounters is evident in everything the she does. She is the biggest cheerleader for each competitor at tournaments. She encourages them to work hard, perform their skills right and with integrity and to have fun while showing off! My boys have grown so much in strength, skill, leadership and respect through the Professional Black Belt program and we are so excited to have Mrs. Gentry joining the PBBA family and bringing this opportunity to Little Elm!

I’ve trained with Katie since 2013, and continue to be impressed with her enthusiasm, perseverance, attention to detail, and positivity that she brings to the martial arts space. She is thoughtful and intentional about how she teaches and interacts with her students.
